Receipt of your design

You send a CAD model (STEP/STP) or technical drawing, with quantities and any material and finishing wishes.

Technical review

We review geometry, material and tolerances, and give DFM feedback where the design can be made easier to produce.

Process selection and quotation

We select the manufacturing process and partner, and you receive a clear quotation, including any tooling.

Prototype or first article

Where useful, we first produce a prototype or first article, which you review and release.

Series production and inspection

Production to the agreed specifications, with quality checks at the production partner and on receipt.

Delivery, stock, repeat

Delivery as agreed: in one go, in parts, scheduled or JIT. Repeat orders to the same specifications. Quality & Logistics →

What you do not have to do

No finding, comparing and managing suppliers. No separate arrangements for tooling, inspection and transport with different parties. No discussion about responsibility if something deviates: Exten is your supplier and resolves it.
