POM
Dimensionally stable and wear-resistant; the standard for sliding and guiding parts, gears and precision components.
Dimensionally stable and wear-resistant; the standard for sliding and guiding parts, gears and precision components.
Optically clear and polishable; for light guides, covers and visible parts, also in thick sections.
Chemically resistant and tough; for trays, guides and parts in humid or aggressive environments.
ABS for enclosures and visible parts; glass-filled plastics where stiffness and strength count.

Machining from sheet or block requires no mould and therefore suits prototypes, machine parts, low to medium volumes and parts with thick sections that cannot be injection moulded.
Machining plastics is a specialism: the material flexes, melts at the wrong cutting speeds and can deform through internal stresses. We select partners who specialise in this and match tolerances to the material behaviour.
As volumes grow, we calculate the break-even point towards injection moulding.
