Production-independent
The manufacturing method follows from the product: geometry, quantities, material, tolerances and budget.
Anyone developing a mechanical product sooner or later reaches the same question: who is going to make this? The answer is rarely one manufacturer. A prototype needs a different specialist than a moulded series, a coating yet another. Finding, comparing and managing them yourself costs time and knowledge most teams do not have to spare.
Exten takes over that role. We review the design, select process and production partner, and remain responsible to you for quality, delivery and repeatability. Not a pass-through, but a partner with its own technical judgement.
Because we do not sell our own machine park, we advise freely: the process that fits your product, not the process that happens to be available.
That is also our main difference from local suppliers: local companies often have one specialism, so one product means visiting several parties. At Exten all production techniques are under one roof, from 3D printing and CNC machining to injection moulding, sheet metal, finishing and assembly. For rapid prototyping we can therefore often achieve a lead time of around 14 days, excluding shipping.
25 years of experience
Exten has been in business for 25 years. In that time we have helped companies translate their designs into manufacturable prototypes and reliable series, across a wide range of materials and production techniques.

Network of specialists
Behind Exten stands a network of specialised production partners per technique: moulding, casting, machining, finishing.
Long-term relationships
Many customers start with one prototype and stay for the repeat series. That continuity is exactly what Exten is built for.

Every enquiry starts with a technical review. DFM feedback is included, not an extra.
Exten is your supplier. If something deviates, we resolve it with our production partners; you have one address.
